This is not surprising since New Era College is wholly supported by the entire Chinese community of Malaysia as a non-profit making tertiary-level educational institution. Its vision is "to develop the college into one of the finest community-run tertiary institutions in the world.' This is not far-fetched since the Malaysian Chinese school system with 1283 primary schools and 60 Independent Secondary Schools is one of its kind in the world. New Era College happens to be its tertiary-level extension.

Our mission is "to nurture holistic, cultured, competent professionals who lead socially responsible fives.' The dynamic educational and cultural environment in the College has been inspired by the visionary leaders of the Malaysian Chinese education movement. Our administrative and academic staff strive to uphold that vision by not compromising on excellence and quality.

New Era has been mainly a teaching college up to now but we have established a research unit to encourage our academic community to do research work in the respective fields.

We positively encourage student activism and leadership. There is an exciting environment for student activities especially with the completion of our brand-new Academic Block and Hostel Block with their modern facilities. The new era promises to be one which will see the flowering of the performing arts. We also provide excellent support services such as counseling, safe and comfortable hostel accommodation.
