Computer
Centre
The Computer Centre has six computer
labs with about 250 computers in all. There are open labs,
computer classrooms and research labs. All computers are equipped
with Pentium 4 processors and network links.
There is a special lab for students to carry out research
on LINUX Operating System so that the Open Source Operating
System can be available in the College.
The Mac Studio, is designed for Art & Design
students with 30 Apple Mackintosh computers (19 G3 i-Mac and
11 G4 e-Mac).
Every lab is equipped with LCD projectors, headphones, scanners
and other computer hardware to enable effective and efficient
delivery of course materials.
All computers in the College are network accessible
and are linked with Leased Line (Jaring-512kpbs). Lecturers
and staff can access the Internet and e-mail at their stations,
while students can also enjoy this facility in the computer
labs or in their own hostel rooms.

Library
The newly renovated 30,000sqft library offers a collection
of 120,000 books and more than 200 titles of serial publications.Facilities
include a newspaper corner, magazine area, reference section,
audio visual room and reading section.The Library is now not
only cosier, it is also equipped with state of the art facilities
such as online book enquiry/search, online loan history enquiry,
wireless internet access, photocopying service, scanning service
to make your reading time a more complete and pleasurable one.
The library is open to all students and staff of the college
as well as to the public.

Hostel
The 13-floor hostel
building houses the canteen, multi-purpose community hall, Students
Union office,student societies etc.
Students’ accommodation occupy the third to ninth floors.
• Each floor is equipped with a drinking fountain and lounge
with satellite TV access.
• Each bedroom is furnished with washroom, balcony, bed,
mattress, study desk, desk light, chair, ceiling fan and Internet
access (students provide their own PCs and network cards).
• 24-hour security system.

Counselling
Centre
The
Students’ Counseling Center provides
specialized professional services designed to
support the educational process and to assist
students in their career, personal, and social
development. Students can encounter many obstacles to a positive
college experience including feeling depressed or anxious,
difficulties establishing and maintaining relationships, feeling
pressure from home, and handling academic demands. In order
to address these problems, we offer a range of services to
all students in New Era College. These include individual and
group counseling, testing and assessment, seminars and talks
on topics of interest and career
planning.
We have full time and part-time licensed
counselors providing free services and
confidentiality is guaranteed.

Sport
Facilities
The
college has an auditorium, two lecture halls and 26 classrooms.
The auditorium, the largest of its kind in Kajang, can accommodate
up to 700 people while the lecture halls can accommodate 100
and 150 people respectively.
There are also basketball, volleyball and
badminton courts, a football field, snooker, gymnasium, tennis
court and table tennis tables. In addition, there is a multi-purpose
community hall which is big enough to hold up to a thousand
people for dance and drama activities. We have block-booked
a badminton hall for students’ use right in front of
the College.

Canteen
The
canteen is located on the ground floor of the Hostel Building.
The design of the canteen is modern and comfortable and it
can accommodate up to a thousand people. A variety of food
and drinks are available here and the prices are reasonable.
In addition, there is a guest dining room big enough for 20
people and a terrace of a hundred person capacity. The canteen
operates from 7a.m.to 8pm. daily, enabling students to have
all their meals here.

ShopCanteen
This is a share-funding convenience
shop run by students on campus. Upholding the principles of ‘courtesy
service’ and ethical business’, its establishment
is an opportunity for students to acquire entrepreneurial skills.
Its services include photocopying, renting of reading materials,
purchase of bus tickets, book sale, retailing stationery and
others.
