Associate Degree in Chinese Language & Literature Print E-mail

Course Introduction:

This is a first and second-year degree level programme. It prepares students for credits transfer to the third year of partner universities in China and Taiwan. Students learn classical and modern Chinese literature, philosophy, history as well as language, research skills and language analysis. The study of literature includes classical and modern Chinese literature, Malaysian Chinese literature and world literature.

Graduates in Chinese language and literature are trained to be skilled in the language and to cultivate a humanistic education in Chinese and Malaysian literature. The study of linguistics enables student to grasp the theory of linguistics as well as master the fundamentals of classical and modern Chinese language.

Career Prospects:
Today, graduates in Chinese language & literature can be found in leadership positions in politics, administration, educational, cultural and business organizations.
