Course Introduction:

This is a new diploma course in respond to emerging digital economy. Google, Yahoo, eBay and You Tube are some very successful global E-Commerce companies. In Malaysia, more and more businesses combine virtual and physical routes to market to deliver best results, such as Air Asia and Genting Group.

E-Commerce is expected to expand in the future because the Generation Y (those born between 1977 and 1994) grew up with computer, digital and internet technology. Couple with the internet explosion, E-Commerce represents the best way to reach out to Generation Y especially in the near future when their buying power increases. As people are getting busier due to commitments to family and work, online shopping is expected to be more and more popular.

This course is designed with both business and IT in mind, hence the subjects are well balanced to equip students with necessary knowledge and skills for a successful E-Commerce career. This course is conducted in simple English and graduates are expected to be able to conduct business in English and Mandarin to give them an advantage both locally and internationally like tapping into the booming China market.
