Course Introduction
The relationship between textile and fashion is fundamental to this 2.5-year diploma course. Here, students develop skills and acquire knowledge as textile and fashion designers, directing their work towards fashion outcomes which demonstrate an understanding of textile design. Students articulate their ideas through explorations in pattern, colour and surface and its application on the body. The modules in this programme allow students to develop conceptual, contextual and technical skills associated with the fashion and textile industry. Students are also exposed to professional and industrial practices to gain a holistic view of the profession. In the final year, students are expected to consolidate combined practices in fashion and textile.
