Course Introduction

The Diploma in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language is a teacher training programme that equips students with a combination of theoretical and practical skills. It takes into account knowledge, abilities and cultural construction to enhance students’ professionalism. This programme develops qualified and outstanding teachers through cultivating students’ teaching capabilities.

This programme is divided into 4 different academic fields: Chinese language knowledge, Teaching methods, Education and other education related studies, Chinese literature and culture.

An exciting and unique feature of this programme lies in its transnational practicum. Under this, students may be sent abroad for their practicum to obtain real-life experience of teaching Chinese abroad.
