The Diploma in Visual Arts develops techniques and knowledge along three main thrusts - Painting, Printmaking and Ceramics. Even more, this 2.5-year programme is unique in providing a combination of modules in both Asian and Western visual arts. Students learn drawing, oil painting, Chinese art (including ink painting and calligraphy), printmaking, basic sculpture, and ceramics. They explore, experiment and develop creative approaches to various art techniques and theories for application or research. In order to expand the marketability of graduates, a special module on Art Entrepreneurship is included in the programme to allow students to examine new areas where they can apply their skills.
