Course Introduction

The Department of Media Studies was set up with the objectives to foster the spirit of humanity, professionalism and critical thinking, and to enhance students' abilities in media theories as well as practical skills. To keep abreast with time and to strengthen students' competency and competitiveness, new modules related to digital technology are introduced.

Career Prospects

Graduates may engage in careers of various industries, including TV, radio broadcasting, press, magazines, publishing, digital media, video production, public relations, advertising, marketing, etc. Alternatively, they can opt to be journalists, editors, advertising copywriters, public relations specialists, translators, video editors, TV producers, news anchors, radio DJs, social media administrators, media analysts, media researchers, media managers, etc.

As the mass communication career field encompasses many different jobs, graduates could develop their unique talents in various industries based on personal interests.
