Résumé of Speaker:
Mr. Navaratnam holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He was appointed as a lecturer in 2010 and taught a course called “Creativity and Innovation” in the Department of Business Studies. As a certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Program Practitioner) and certified trainer, his workshops are focused on creating a purposeful impact, flavored with sensible humor whilst maintaining the element of fun and excitement throughout the event. On this occasion, he will share his success and the magic of lateral thinking with as many people as possible.

Abstract:
Lateral thinking is not a talent but a skill that can be learned. It empowers people by adding strength to their natural abilities by improving their creativity and innovation, and thereby their productivity and increased profit. Today, better quality and service, though essential are no longer adequate. Creativity and innovation are the only engines that will drive success. What do businesses need today? A new way of thinking is required that would open doors that most never knew they ever existed; a way of thinking that seeks solutions to intractable problems through unorthodox methods that are normally ignored by logical thinking. This creative thinking is “lateral thinking.”
