CHINA PRESS is a well-established Chinese-language newspaper set up by Tun Henry Lee Hau Shik (Tun H. S. Lee) and was first published on 1 February 1946. In the 1980s, China Press daily circulation had increased from 20,000 to 100,000 copies, making it the fastest-growing paper in Malaysia. With the change in news consumption pattern brought by the advancement of digital technology, China Press embarked on the development of digital media in 2015 by revamping the website (chinapress.com.my) and launching of mobile app. With subsequent introduction of various digital platforms and channels like eClassified, myWheels (车天地) and 新闻抢先报, the website has captured 10 million unique visitors per month, with 163 million page views, while the China Press mobile App has 128 million screen views with over 500,000 users (Source: Google Analytics). |
