Regulations on Borrowing of Audio-visual Material

  1. Staff can use the staff ID cards to borrow CD/VCD/DVD from the library. The ID cards are not transferable.
  2. Staff can check the CD/VCD/DVD from the catalogue at library website, fill in the "Application Form" (E-form) and submit.
  3. Please submit your e-form before 12PM every Monday to Friday, and you can borrow the CD/VCD/DVD from 3PM to 4PM at the same day at library counter.
  4. Staff can borrow CD/VCD/DVD subject to the maximum numbers of one movie, or 3 VCDs/DVDs (Series) and durations of one week.
  5. CD/VCD/DVD can be renewed once before due date by presenting the borrowed CD/VCD/DVD.
  6. Library users who have borrowed the maximum numbers of CD/VCD/DVD or have overdue, are not allowed to borrow other CD/VCD/DVD.
  7. A fine of RM0.20 per day per CD/VCD/DVD will be imposed on overdue CD/VCD/DVD.  If CD/VCD/DVD is overdue for more than 30 days, in addition to the fine computed daily, it is deemed as lost and must be compensated in accordance with Regulation 8 and 9 below.
  8. CD/VCD/DVD borrowed should not be lost or damaged in any way. If CD/VCD/DVD are lost or damaged, the borrower will be responsible to pay compensation.
  9. CD/VCD/DVD are lost or damaged, the borrower have to pay compensation of RM30 per CD/VCD/DVD.
  10. In the event of stocktaking or official purposes, library has the right to call back the CD/VCD/DVD at any time and announce a temporary freeze on CD/VCD/DVD lending.

Rules on Use of Audio-visual Material

  1. The centre provides individual computer and two group viewing rooms.
  2. Library users can check the CD/VCD/DVD from the catalogue at library website, and fill in the "Application Form" (E-form) and then submit the student ID cards, staff ID cards or library member cards to the library staff.
  3. The ID cards shall be reclaimed upon leaving the centre. If any damage is so caused, compensation shall be paid at double the market prices of the audio-visual materials or the appliances.
  4. The Centre provides audio-visual materials in VCD, DVD and CD only.
  5. Foods and drinks are prohibited in the centre. Viewers must maintain silence so that others in the centre are not disturbed.
  6. There are two group viewing rooms and each can accommodate 15-20 persons.
  7. Viewers shall make bookings by filling the application forms at the counter three days in advance. There must be a minimum of five persons for the group viewing room to be used.
  8. In the event that viewers do not turn up within 15 minutes, the booking to use the room is automatically cancelled.
  9. If there are no any pre-booking. All bookings are approved on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  10. These regulations and any subsequent amendments shall be approved by the College Management Committee Meeting before they are announced for implementation.
