Dr. Shamuni possesses a Ph.D. from National University of Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. Her main research interests include workplace learning, competence development, job satisfaction and entrepreneurship, etc. Her major publications include Skills Development and Job Satisfaction through Workplace Learning in Small and Medium Tourism Enterprises in Malaysia; Learning cultures among employees in the education and tourism sectors: A comparative Analysis; Stepping up the ladder: Competence Development through Workplace Learning among Employees of Small Medium Enterprises and other conference presentations.
