B.A. (Hons) in History (Malaya), M.A. in History (Malaya), Ph D. (Monash University, Australia)
 

Prof. Lee Kam Hing holds a B.A. (Hons) and M.A. in History from the University of Malaya (UM), and the doctorate from Monash University, Australia. He taught in UM from 1973 and was appointed professor in 1993. After his retirement, he served for ten years as Research Editor at Star Publications from 1998 to 2008, and as Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of China Studies, UM, between 2010 and mid-May 2017.

Prof. Lee is an established and respected academic with extensive experience in research and publication, supervision, consultation and related matters, as well as contacts with a network of scholars within and outside Malaysia. He overseas experiences include serving as Research Fellow at Harvard-Yenching Institute, Harvard University; Koninklik Institut voor Taal, Land en Volkunde, Leiden, The Netherlands; Cambridge University, England; and Visiting Professor at Peking University.
