简介 Description:

巴生港口班达马兰新村成立于1950年，是雪兰莪州内最大的华人新村。该村原称巴生港口新村，1957年才改称班达马兰新村。该村的三大特色是福建人多，神庙多及美食闻名。

本书以班达马兰新村40座华人神庙为对象，针对三类型神庙（即崇祀中国原乡神明的神庙，崇祀本土神灵拿督公的神庙及崇祀精灵类神祗的神庙）之主神源流、创庙历史与传说、庙宇建筑、神明配置、文物碑记、神诞与庆典、组织与管理及社会互动等方面作出初步的考查和介绍。

庙宇文化是华人传统文化的重要组成部分，希望透过出版一部分巴生神庙之探索报告，引起更多人对庙宇文化的关注与反思，并作为往后深入研究的参考资料。
