About NEUC-CMEI
NEUC-CMEI was introduced on 16 September 2023, in conjunction with Malaysia Day, at the Conference: Interaction Between Islamic, Malay, and Chinese Civilizations in Southeast Asia 2023, held at New Era University College. This significant event reflects New Era University College's collective commitment to celebrating diversity, promoting unity, and fostering an inclusive environment for all.
Efforts to foster effective communication between individuals of different backgrounds are crucial for promoting social unity, understanding, and equality in multi-ethnic societies, both domestically and abroad. This diversity enriches the community and provides various perspectives, knowledge, and experiences that can be harnessed for the collective benefit of all individuals.
The establishment of the Multi-Ethnic Interaction Center embodies the values we cherish as a progressive and harmonious society. It will serve as both a physical and symbolic space where individuals from different backgrounds can come together, learn from each other, and form lasting bonds. Through workshops, conferences, seminars, cultural events, and exhibitions, we hope to promote cross-cultural awareness, highlighting the beauty of each tradition while finding common ground that unites us all.
The establishment of this center must be supported by the principles of equality, inclusion, and respect. We must create an environment where every voice is heard and valued, regardless of its origin.
We hope that the establishment of the Multi-Ethnic Interaction Center, NEUC-CMEI, will leave a lasting legacy of unity, understanding, and progress for future generations.
