  • Have conducted research on more than 40 topics related to urban/regional settlements in Malaysia and Southeast Asia (e.g. internal structure of cities, urban ethnicity, migration, FELDA settlements, new towns, sustainable urban development, intermediate urbanisation, megaurbanisation, urban systems, skyscraper development, urban convolution, urban green spaces, urban governance, urban heritage and derelict buildings, border urbanisation, and growth triangles).
  • Funding for research have come from various sources: UM Vote F, FELDA, Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment under the IRPA Programme, Fundamental Research Grant, and foreign sources as listed below.
