The Department of Southeast Asian Studies and K Lab jointly organized an Online discussion on the local history of Yap Tao Sha New Village on 22 May- 23May 2021. Co-organizers include P 'tuan Bekas Penuntut2 Sek Chong Hwa and P 'tuan Bekas Penuntut2 SJK(C) Ping Ming.

Dr. Lew Bon Hoi, Head of the Department of Southeast Asia Studies, shared in the event. Meanwhile, Tan Kian Fatt, Nicholas Wong Yi Bin (MAS of Chinese Studies), and Ng Yuan Long, student of the Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature, are also participating in the project.
