Résumé of Speaker:
Mr. Navaratnam holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from University Putra Malaysia (UPM). His main research interests include workplace safety and health, human resource development, organization commitment and job satisfaction, etc. His recent research project was to examine the Impacts of Human Resource Practices and Organization Commitment towards Employee Retention in Selected Bank under Tan Lark Sye Institute Research Grant. He had also presented a paper entitled Impact of Strategic Human Resource Management for MNC corporations in the Business and Management Conference 2016 (BMC 2016). His upcoming research project will examine the Relationship between Safety Management Practices and Safety Behavior among Employees in Manufacturing Company.

Abstract:
Selection of appropriate tools are important since results can be inaccurate if the wrong statistical tools are selected. Selection is based on a number of factors such as research objective, research hypothesis, normality of data and scale of measurements. Participants will be introduced to several statistical tools such as T-test, ANOVA, Chi-Square, Spearman Rho, Pearson Product Moment of Correlation and Multiple Regression.
