Résumé of Speaker:
Rajennd Muniady is a lecturer in the Faculty of Accountancy, Management and Economics, New Era University College and a Coordinator of the Diploma and Bachelor in Marketing. He has a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. His interest in research includes marketing, economics and entrepreneurship. He has published articles, conference papers and books in marketing, development economics, entrepreneurship and innovation. He has also been engaged in reviewing manuscripts for peer reviewed journals and involved in programme and module development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Business, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan.
Abstract:
The H-Index is a quantitative metric based on analysis of publication data using publications and citations to provide an estimate of the importance, significance, and broad impact of a scientist’s cumulative research contributions. As New Era University College is in the midst of the transition towards full-fledged university status, its academic staff are enjoined to engage in research and publication. The H-Index is a measure that reflects research contributions of academic staff. This seminar provides information on the types of H-Index, and suggests guidance on setting up Google Scholar and Scopus accounts to generate one’s H-Index.
