Resume of Speaker:
Ms Loke Chew Har is the academic coordinator for the Diploma in Accounting programme. She has a Master’s of Accounting Degree from International Islamic University of Malaysia and Bachelors in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (ACCA). Her interests in research are focused on ethics, corporate governance, and audits. She has published articles and attended conference in the area of ethics and audits.

Abstract:
In many countries individuals and companies are required to pay tax to their governments. Malaysia has laws governing taxation for individuals and entities who earn their income in this country. The objective of the seminar is to share information on personal tax submission from the perspective of residents earning income without business in Malaysia by filing form BE. The seminar is relevant to staff who face problems in submitting their income tax forms and staff who are new tax payers and for those who have an interest on personal tax topics. Future tax payers such as students are welcomed.
