Abstract:
The stock market, in portfolio investment, has always been the financial channel that offers the best returns. The Malaysia Stock Market has retreated by 30% since the beginning of the year, in a substantial downturn that has forced many listed companies into dire straits and bleak outlook. The local equity market is suffering from an exodus of foreign investment funds, and even local institutions are staying away to avoid the risk factor. Many good quality stocks valuation have fallen to attractive levels. Investors should not miss this opportunity to build up their savings. Financial crises have a 10-year cycle, and the stock market does not go on a cheap sale often. The talk will also touch on other investment options such as mutual funds, insurance policy, real estate and precious metals such as gold, amongst other.
